Flow meters for 20,000 PSI and more
High-pressure flow meters are specially designed for extremely low flow rates and/or particularly high pressures. They are primarily used in the oil and gas industry, but are also used in other areas at pressures up to 2,500 bar (36,000 psi). One technological advance was the separation of the measuring function and pressure containment: a floating measuring chamber in the pressure housing enables precise, pressure-independent measurements from 10 to 20,000 psi.
At high pressures, minimal deformations can lead to measurement errors. An integrated pressure compensation chamber protects sensitive components from deformation and ensures reliable measurement results - even at extreme pressures.
The devices measure liquids such as oils, hydraulic fluids, inhibitors or biocides and are suitable for harsh environments. They offer high accuracy and a turndown of up to 3000:1. Measuring ranges extend from 0.005 l/h to 3,600 l/h at 20,000 psi. All models are individually calibrated to flow conditions and viscosity.
